Uni-Box

Security updates for the CentOS operating system are still provided.
No Programm updates and no new GLS products and services will be provided.

The UniBox is a server that allows the customer to control the complete dispatch process.
The Linux-based shipping system is connected to the customer's enterprise resource planning system via a defined interface (tag language).
The UniBox has no graphical user interface, the customer works with his familiar user interface in his merchandise management system.
The package labels can be printed in different ways, e.g. directly on a thermal printer in the customer network, feedback as print file for thermal printers, feedback of the necessary fields to create a label yourself.
The tag files can be transferred via FTP, via socket communication or via Samba for Windows.
The system automatically transfers the data from (routing data) and to (packet data) GLS.
The GLS Uni-Box is available to the customer as VMWare or as HyperV image for free download. It uses the Linux operating system CentOS 7 incl. current patch status.

Programming of this TAG language is required in your company.

The solution has been in use for several years and will be replaced by the ShipIT API in the future.

Updates and new GLS products will continue to be provided.
